FAQs
What is retouching?
Retouching is the process by which I take the image from “off the camera” and make it ready for publishing online or in print.
This is the removal of anything that shouldn’t be in the image, such as spots, frizzy or fly away hair ends, uneven skin tones, excessive wrinkles, dust, or particles of clothing, and eye bags too, anything that prevents the image from having a slick editorial edge.
Retouching is performed using Lightroom and Photoshop.
My philosophy is less is more - I don’t aim to radically transform a person’s image but to purify and enhance it.
Release Form
I ask everyone to sign an industry standard release form.
This is a dual-purpose agreement. It confirms © copyright ownership and also explains the permissions granted to both the photographer, that’s me and you the client.
